And also This Pipe

So now everythis is done now and I've driven for two week now with no problems, but i have the feeling this isn't over jet. I have the clue that the Heater Core is also leaking a bit and this yould be very expensive to repair.

But I'll keep you updated on it

Why do you think the Heater core is leaking? If you are still smelling antifreeze I have found that Dex Cool can smell for a while after the leak even if it was cleaned well.

update?

Hi Unbecoming,
Following your post since I am having an increase in operating temps recently. My mechanic suspects the thermostat, but the repair is about $450. Since the operating temp isn't acutally overheating (212F) I continue to drive it. But I'm not taking long trips and I monitor it closely. I have 216K miles and worried about those heater pipes and core as well. Let me know if you are happy with the thermostat replacement.

If its worth anything, my radiator cap failed and was leaking, Take it off and check the bottom O-ring, if its flattened replace it.
It was not keeping the proper pressure / fill level.
