I have a buddy that works for a parts department, I just reached out to him to see the cost to get a handful of each bolt.

Then for the Caliper Bracket.... install new Caliper Bracket Bolts... tq to 30 lb ft + 90 deg. So, according to the service manual none of those bolts can be reused. Just my opinion, but there can be a variety of reasons. If turned to a tq angle, that can be a clue that it was TTY. Sometimes there is a special locking compound applied to the threads. Safest route is just get new OE bolts whenever the service manual says not to reuse the bolts. |

Having written that, SCCA and NASA racers have been reusing these bolts for years and years. LocTite is your friend if you choose this path. |

So is anyone going to chime in on ZL1 bolts part number and if they need to be replaced? the 2 bolts on the back of rotor that attach the caliper on. Also how do you ever torque them if torque wrenches dont fit in the tire well.

Brake Confusion
Everything you need to know:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=348133 Just finished my ZL1 install last weekend: Yes you need new bolts for the caliper bolts! Torque was a bear but jack up the car and for the fronts turn the steering wheel to access the bolts with the wrench. I used a cheater bar on at ratchets for the 90 degree TTY. A 1/2 breaker bar worked better as I got smarter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So, do you torque the caliper bolts in a radial pattern?

Thanks, so just the Bracket Bolt gets the 90 degree, other is just 20ft-lbs. No mention to replace each time though
