New key and pilot for 6,2 2010

Hello!
I have 2010 6,2 Camaro with manual transmission. My original- and only one key is without remote start. I want to buy a new key, but it has an extra button - remote start one... Here comes the question: Will it work properly with my car? I mean will it lock/unlock/open trunk properly?
Thanks in advance 😊

I think it should work no problem. Factory remote start can be added to non remote started cars. That's a good sign. According to my car history this is exactly what happened. The previous owner added remote start to it after. ( remote start was not on my window sticker )

My car came with 3 keys , 1 with remote start 2 without
I lost the 1 with remote start a few years back.

So I feel the remote start keys are compatible but the remote start function will just be inoperable.

I got a replacement remote start key for next to nothing.
Its a clone from china but works no problem.

Cut it myself at my work ( These do not need to be laser cut )
If your local hardware store cuts car keys check if they can cut a hu100.

Used my car to program it.
