how hard are the license tests?
I have not played GT in a while and that was on my PS2.

This was my first experience with the GT Series so I HATED the license tests when I first got it.

Now, a few weeks later, I started going back through the tests and got gold on all but one of the first set i tried. I still don't like them - having to repeat things is a major pet peeve of mine - but I was able to get gold on a few on my first try.

Wait until you get to the Special Events. If you don't hate VW Busses now, you will.

You got that right. The Top Gear VW Bus run is a ball buster. Still haven't even passed one.

Thats nothing. Wait till you try the next one with a lotus I believe. That damn car wont even stay on the road. I tried it a couple times and knew it was going to be hell. Havent had the gumption to sit down for a couple hours and beat it yet.

I am trying to get gold in every test. I got all of the A and B license tests done in gold a couple weeks ago, and got a couple international tests done in gold.....haven't tried any more since.

BTW....you can pass everyone thats left in front of you by the end in the last turn in the VW bus test....you just have to avoid hitting the other cars. So even if you are only in like 4th at the end dont give up.
It is impossible to have them all passed before the final turn.

I had to give up on that one the other night - just don't see how that's any fun at all. Makes me hope the game designer develops acute, lifelong diarrhea.

Yeah, what he said! It's weird - sometimes the tiniest bump disqualifies you, sometimes you can hit embarrassingly hard with no repercussions. Part of the trick is to drive much more aggressively that you expect while doing everything possible to NOT make contact. If you get too frustrated, search for a YouTube a video for inspiration and confidence.
