At the moment it looks like pricing. (speed ventures is 130) I forget how many run groups speed ventures usually runs. Extreme speed is running 4 groups on the 29th.

There's another event going on at Big Willow in November that people get 5 runs each run being 30 minutes. I'm trying to find out what kind of track time we're gonna get based on how many run groups. Barring any incidents that slow the track down obviously...

I think either one is fine for a 1st timer if you get an instructor with you for at least a couple runs. You want to make sure you're going to the drivers meeting in the AM, and that you have someone with you to teach you the lines of the course and help you out. As this says:

Big Willow is a very fast track. I haven't been on it in a while. It's great tho. I actually really enjoy streets too. I've only run it clockwise though, but I found it a lot of fun, and I like the elevation changes and twists, turns and camber of that track a lot. I think my FIRST track was Buttonwillow... I can't remember honestly. I started working with a racing company essentially the first day I went to a track event and started getting on the track all the time. You'll be hooked!

And my personal opinion?? Drags are for showing off your car. But if you want to learn some more driving skills and how to handle your car, doing a track day at streets or big willow is a way better idea. But that's me Nothing wrong with drags, but the skill being shown there is in how your car was built or modified, not the skill YOU have in driving! And hey, you can have a fast car, not know how to drive it, and I could probably beat you stock if I drive smoother

and wowsa. that's a long day!!! I'm planning on towing my Bee to the track - whichever event I go to if I don't do both. Just gotta make sure to break it in before that! I still have about 700 miles to go before I can track him!!! >.<
