I was thinking the same thing when the other forum member posted but I didn't wanna say nothin. That is the whole reason I went with the Camaro.......wayyyyy cheaper to maintain than Porsche.

Hopefully before the end of 2012.

As for engine failures, I don't know that they're letting go at an unusual pace. I've heard of a few here and a few there, intermediate shaft bearings usually, but I'm not sure it's even 1%. (Can someone look that up?)

The simple fact is, they do more with less in those cars. They're not bloated land yachts like our 5th Gens.

I own a 2010 2SS and really enjoy it, but let's not get crazy here.

A 911, especially newer than 2005, is going to be a better all-around performing car than a Camaro. That's not a subjective opinion, here, folks. Look at the data.

Now, if you want to have the typical Mustang (and I own one of those, as well) argument here, then sure: you can take a cheaper Camaro and make it fast by dumping in (tens of) thousands of dollars.

It's still not a Porsche, though.

First thing you should do is buy clear film protection for the areas 1. behind the front tires and 2. in front of the rear tires. Those massive tires will kick up debris and chip your paint.

Then get rid of those Goodyears and buy some Michelin PS2s.

What was funny is the new car smell is still inside the car and everyone was loving it!

I'm on the corvette forums and they are not as pleasant there. A lot of egos and definitely not a positive vibe to the threads. I will continue to come on this page, and who knows maybe I'll be a Camaro owner again (Transformers Edition!)

Congrats on your purchase. I must say that your Camaro looked amazing from the picture. Corvette Forum guys can sometimes be rather "abrasive", just a different crowd. Though thats not speaking for all of them, just the minority that stick out in your mind.

Enjoy your new ride and post some pics

Vettes are amazing but with what you have done to your camaro you will take a big hit. I would just mod the heck out of your SS.

Yeah, I love the Z06, its a beast, I stepped on a throttle somewhat and broke the wheels going straight. The ride is totally different, you can feel every bump, definitely not as smooth or comfortable, but I love that. I would also LOVE a Transformer edition 2LT, I would trade in the G35 for that.

Thank you Stratosphere. That Camaro was a beauty, but she didn't drive the way she looks. I feel a better sense of camaraderie in this forum and more appreciation for their vehicles than in the corvette forums. Thats the initial gut feeling. I come to this forum more than the corvette one still. I really wish I could have a bumblebee Transformers edition.

Man take the Z06 & you won't need CAI, bushings, catbacks, etc.
