TB spacer w/ VMax

Anyone use a TB spacer with their VMax ported TB? Any noticeable gains? Is it worth it? Seeking opinions please.

Worthless piece of hardware. TB Spacers do nothing for our LLT engines and were only a benefit to older 4th gen and 3rd gen Camaros. This topic was beat to death back in '09 March when everyone went out and bought these, tested them on there cars and wondered why no performance benefits were noticed.

Same goes with the Jet Mass Aif Flow Sensor.

Save your money and purchase a good CAI like CAI inc or Roto-fab.

I've always heard that the spacer is worthless. The vmax TB is already swirled, and the spacer may screw that up because it also swirls. I've also heard it's worthless because the additional space isn't doing anything on a direct injection engine.

I wouldn't say the spacer is completely worthless..I'm sure it is a good paper weight. But yea OP don't bother wasting the money and time getting one.

I can tell you from experience that the Airaid spacer with a Vmax TB is going to lose you power.....

Invest that in the Plenum Spacer or ICEolator. Unless you have those already. Otherwise. A ADM Scoop is about the same price and will get ya power that is consistent and usable.

Good luck and let us know if we can help!

Save your money so far as the spacers goes. I would suggest the VMAX Throttle body along with the ICEolator. Those items in conjunction with a good intake will net you nice gains in the 2000-6000 RPM range which is where you want it.

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions.

Kind regards,

Is it ok to run the TB spacer with a ported TB and the black iceolator? Or could this cause problems such As a loss in HP or TQ?

Throttle body spacers are worthless. Save your money and apply it elsewhere.

I already have the Tb spacer. I got it before I found out they are pointless on our cars.

It's my understanding that if you have the VMAX TB that the TB spacer could hurt any gains you get from the VMAX TB.
