AC belt question
OK so all the local parts stores have to special order the AC belt for my 14 SS.
The gates part number I found was K040373SF But if you take off the "SF" so it's just K040373 they all have this in stock. What's the difference? Will either work?

My guess is the part without the designation "SF" is not a stretchy belt. If by luck it happens to be the right size, it will be a mofo to install and will probably squeal.

I bought mine from Amazon and used the stretch belt tool to install.

I have the installation tool from my last replacement.
There is a $15 price difference as well. Belt is the same length

You have a highly modded car, just go to the dealer and order the correct belt...Especially since you indicated that you've already replaced it once...$15.00 dedicated to your car, for real???

I wonder if "sf" stands for "stretch fit" since you're supposed to use a tool to install it.

I've replaced it three times actually because I've had to pull the engine out twice. First time was because the belt just came apart, second time was when the rod let go, and the third time was the sump getting clogged by a GM sticker that was apparently missed when engine was being assembled.
