And I'd like to know how you think this TTV6 will be so so sooo much lighter than the LS7. The LFX V6 is something like 360 lbs straight away, compared to about 440 lbs for a similar LS7. Rule of thumb says that when a manufacturer goes forced induction it'll add 75 lbs or so to an engine. So a TTV6 is going to weigh almost exactly the same as an LS7. Best case scenario is that there will be a difference of perhaps 20 lbs. While that would make for a better handling car, the difference is going to be less 'OMG, this is teh bestest evar!!11!' and more 'Are you sure this handles better?' Methinks you've watched the video on the Leno Camaro 1 too many times.

The fully trimmed LS7 weighs about 450 lbs. The LFX V6 weighs about 370 lbs. Add the twin turbos, ducts, intercoolers and fluids and I doubt there would be much weight difference between the two.

I dont think a TTV6 will be there to compete with the V8 models because GM will not be fool to destroy a market share with another.
The V8 will always be on the top

Talk about collector cars....! It makes sense for Chevy to truly consider the LS7 for the last of the 5th gen Camaros. Sales have currently slowed considerably and the Camaro moniker can hardly stand to die before the 6th gen arrives. If the LS7 option wasn't hugely expensive, I could see a revival of sorts using this tactic. The idea of an LS7 engine in the 5th gen isn't a fresh idea from GM by the way,...Camaro5 guys have been doing that rather well since 2010!

GM would be able to promote the LS7 as a 427 for the Camaro. It would get people excited for sure especially if they put it with the 1LE trim or in standard SS Trim.

My thoughts exactly. The V6's are nice, but once you own a V8, there is no going back (for me, at least)

I think that if GM has invested the time and money they did into the LT1, it's a good bet that V8's will be around for quite some time still....
