Most are not gluten free but they may make one that is. I may have found a local place to get Ezekiel bread but will have to go there to see if they carry the gluten free ones. I found it on the web site for the bread. It is our small health food store.

You're right. I call them barfee's cause that's what I feel like
when I'm done. And for some reason she seems to like to do
them at the end - just makes them all the harder. Oh well,
all for a good cause

I won't complain that burpees & traditional push-ups are out of the question for me due to wrist surgery X3. I just can't tolerate trying to support my weight on my hands. Sorry guys & gals. Not to mention what burpees would do with my GERD. I just have to find other ways. Yeah, I have a lot of complications, but I work my way through them. Another complication is that I had an emergency C-section and the cut was vertical from my belly button down so my entire pelvic girdle was cut in half. So to my exercize physiolotists - Is there anything I need to do differently in my ab work? I never have and have had no complications. I know I will always have some buldge on either side of the scar with scar tissue pulling together all layers of my abdomen from skin to uterus. Should I be altering my ab exercizes in any way to minimize that or any other potential problems?

I think they used to be called squat thrust

From standing position drop to your hands,
extend your legs behind you, jump them back
in and then jump up from there -

Probably not the best description. They are
not fun, BUT as BB says, effective. Works
everything

Well, as most will find out belly fat is the hardest to get rid of and something that most don't get the grasp on is exercises for this purpose, ab work isn't on the list. Working abs should be like working on any other muscle group, adding ab work to get rid of belly fat is pretty much useless. Abs should be worked as a strong core is very important but to get rid of belly fat compound exercises that incorporate large muscle groups are more effective. Cardio work is also effective. It ends up coming down to cals in verses cals out and compound exercises and cardio fit the bill. The equally important part of this, if not more important is diet, diet, diet, hate to disappoint but exercises as above and diet is what it will take. I'm sure you've heard the saying,as cleche as it is, "you can't out train a bad diet". well, sadly, it's true.

You'll get it. If you buy low fat or reduced fat cheese it will help cut down the fat intake. Honestly, where as most of the fat is coming from healthy sources it doesn't bother me that much and your food choices are getting better. The big question here is do you feel like you're eating enough? Do you feel hungry or are you trying to eat more just to fill cal requirements.

The food list I put up is not a complete grocery list but with the foods listed and a little prep time you can put enough pre made foods in your freezer so without thinking you can grab something that you can take with you without thinking about it.

I'll post up my ideas on that a little later when I'm home.

Yeah, I know all that. But you still have to keep your core strength up and abs also support your back which I have to especially think about. I was just asking if the fact that all my ab muscles have been cut in half would make a difference in how I should work them. I have had instructors tell me that sometimes when doing ab work folks push their tummys out instead of holding them in & actually make their tummy look worse. So I got to thinking that with that scar down the middle some exersizes could actually make the buldges on either side worse. I know some of it is fat & that has to go through diet but some of it is muscle tissue too.

Okay I'm working on developing some recipies that will work for me. I started the day with my usual shake, then for the second meal tried CFD's strawberry bananna oatmeal recipe. I have to say, I'm not a fan of that one. I had to add a 1/4 c of water & it was still rather thick & I found it too bland for my taste. Is that supposed to be one serving? I can't eat that much in one meal. I ate about half. Hubby cooked some kabobs (based on the recipe posted). He used several different seasonings and made a big batch. We will freeze some. He tried 2 of the flavors and he likes them. I have not trried them yet but will for the next meal. I will go to our little health food store & see what I can find from the grocery list & later or tomorrow maybe look for the rest at Kroger. Right now I need to go take a little weight off the top of my head. I'm looking pretty shaggy. And with the serious thickness of my hair I would not be surprised if a good hair cut did show up on the scales LOL.
