Ram Air Induction 1LE

The MPD Motorsports Z-Force Ram Air hood finally came, got painted and installed...I think it turned out great...let me know what you think!

This may be way off base, but I was under the impression that the stock hood not only vented engine bay heat, but also aided in downforce by reducing the high pressure that builds up under the hood. Are you at all concerned about giving up either of these benefits, or are they incorrect in my understanding of the hood vents?

I see the SC clears the strut brace just fine, I guess this Is a custom brace?

It looks good, but I wonder if this ram air effect is better than the aerodynamic benefits and the heat extraction benefits of the OEM hood.

Saw the pics on Facebook yesterday. Looks really good. Nicely done and fits your theme perfectly.

Not worried at all about the engine bay heat extraction - the 2010-2013 models perform just fine! I'm not concerned about downforce either, the hood also has vent exits at the rear by the windshield (seen from the inside the car). The strut tower brace is the oem brace, I had it custom painted as well....The hood is a true Ram Air induction type, force feeding air to the Cold Air Inductions CAI as the picture depicts - thus giving it more cold air intake support.

Congratulations...looks RAD...especially in Black...reminds me of my 69 Z28 cowl hood...I say owner's choice on appearance versus functionality...How much did it set you back???

$850 for the hood delivered + $600 to paint = $1450 of one happy customer!

Looks good, I was thinking about swapping to a ram air hood at one point also. What's the butt Dyno tell ya about the performance difference?
Also, are those plastidipped '12 zl1 wheels you have on there? Just wondering
