Light has come to the Dark Side(New Mustang Owner)

Everyone, please forgive me. I have been tempted and turned by the Dark Side of the muscle car force. Last week I purchased a 2008 Mustang GT with 41k miles. As tempting as it was to upgrade to an SS, I couldn't justify doing it, especially since the few I test drove were clearly raced. I've got to get my debt to income level down further before I can think about owning a house(currently rent). I love the forum and don't plan on going anywhere though.

Looks good man!

Why did you decide not to go for an SS? The price difference isn't substantial and the SS would be newer and all around a better car.

Anything does to this car?

From a driving perspective, the ones I test drove were handled roughly. I had my mechanic look at them after I drove them. From a financial standpoint, I could have stayed in my LS and paid $405/mo, which is what I would do for the pair of 2SS I looked at. That defeats the purpose. I got a basically new Mustang GT for 15k and saved $223/mo.

That will go a long way towards paying off my other debt (student loans) and in a couple years I'll be able to buy a house. I made my car payments pretty easily before, but I thought it over and this felt best.
