I got a chuckle out of the "chrome" issue...lol...Never thought of it as "polarizing"....
I'd hate to see it go....once it's gone, it won't come back....Gotta have chrome bumpers on a truck...lol...

“Chrome has become more polarizing, and more personal, than any other aspect of truck design,” said Rich Scheer, director, Exterior Design, Chevrolet Trucks. “Some customers want no chrome at all and only body-color or blacked-out trim. Others feel a truck isn’t a truck without a chrome bumper, but feel extra chrome can be too ‘flashy.’ Others want as much chrome as they can get.”

Accordingly, the eight trims are tailored to give customers a wide range of features and levels of chrome, enabling customers to choose the best truck for their personal preferences.

i hate chrome, wont mind if its gone forever...just my opinion.

love this truck so far, looks great, the contours are nothing i've seen on a truck before, looks mean and modern.

The High Country and Trail Boss LT look fantastic. Mean. The work truck grill with the Chevrolet script across looks odd, woof. I'm not sure what they're doing with the RST, it's certainly no sport truck at least by those initial shots. I guess there's a reason they didn't use the SS trim. However, I do appreciate the variety of choices.

The interior is a bit too evolutionary but functional. The new Ram practically looks to have a Telsa level of electronics inside. I'm a little surprised that we're getting the same displacement small blocks. At least it's not a bunch of TTV6s. When do we get the full numbers?

I assumed engines as well while watching it. Could only come up with 4, assuming a base NA V6.

Wonder if having so many “trims” will actually confuse people and hurt sales? I like the new look. Want to see a CC standard bed though.

The 6.2 stop/start feature is a little concerning. No way will I own a first model year.

I don't think so. I mean if you look on Chevy's website now you have WT, LS, Custom, LT, LTZ, LT Z71, LTZ Z71 and High Country.

FAIL. Sorry, Fat Colorado. Let the platform stand on its own. The Colorado is cool. Bring back a cheyenne. Or maybe a street cred P/U.. I. would like to see a P/U with a stance. The lines do not lie. You know what I am saying.

OK, Ryan. I remember going to our Chevy dealer. It was Connelll Chevrolet. It was located in the town I was born. Luverne Minn. I was 8 to 12 years old. This would be 1969 to 1976. October was epic. On the day that was reveal day, paper was put on the glass. The dealership would rip the paper off. Oh my, I will never ever forget the looks of the new of all the new chevelles, novas, implalas,. We just do not have this now. Those days are bye bye. It was cool but I just don't see the enthusium now.

Silverado sales volume probably justify offering so many trims. If customers have such an expressed opinion on chrome trim, the none to gaudy varying amounts offered of chrome would probably help sales. Never paid much attention to new truck offerings, honestly....

But my first glimpse at the pics of the dash had the looked of a "dog-bone" vibe...That large D-shaped panel left of the steering wheels looks out of place....Not sure it does it for me....just sayin'...

My favorite year is the look of the 2017 Silverado 1500 the front grill and headlights look badass .
I also have an older duramax , but I wonder what the new lil baby 3.0 Inline Dmax does as far as hp & Tq and tow rating .

This one's supposed to have the Duramax.

I see little to no Colorado in this truck, but that's just me.
