So I’m having trouble finding just a secondary delete section in stock size pipe. I don’t fully want to do the 60606 since I’m in Cali.. I would like to b able to replace secondary “when needed”.. anybody who’s installed the 60606 know rough measurements compared to stock pipe and if I could purchase the 60606 and only use the secondary section of it and use a clamp? I’m looking at pictures and it looks like it will b possibly too close to the flex donut on stock pipe

That doesn't really make sense... The 60606 IS a secondary cat delete that is OEM piping size. Just look at the install instruction for the Borla axleback. I believe that should give you the measurements for the cut (IIRC, around 7" from the muffler). Since it's OEM sizing, you should be able to bolt your cats and mid-pipe back in with the Vibrant clamps that you need to install the 60606, as well. *SHOULD*

Yea, I didn’t realy explain that to well.. anyways, I found out that they did make just the part I was wanting wich was 60663. The measuremnts I was referring to was distance between secondary and beginning of stock x.. after looking at some pictures, the full 60606 just looks way easier then just the 60663 in terms of cutting and proper seal

I've had my 60606 installed for 5 or 6 months with no issues. The end of last week I changed the engine oil, trans and diff fluids and while under there I tightened all the clamps along my exhaust just because. Hop in the car this morning and there a check engine light staring me in the face. An email from OnStar says there is an issue with the emissions system. I knew I shouldn't have touched those clamps, dammit! lol

If you can get the error code we'll know which side is affected. I remember the driver's side is held together at the cat with a clamp- perhaps its over tightened and created a leak?

Also on the passenger side connection at the cat (the more traditional connection for that point on an exhaust) the instructions called for a surprisingly low amount of torque- just something like 15-18 lb/ft.

Good luck, you'll fix it!

I didn't touch the pass side flange so it's pretty safe to assume the cat clamp is over-tightened. Once I get home I can throw my code reader on it to find out for sure.

Any idea on why Borla decided to discontinue the 60606? I know they have the 60663 out, but when I'm doing the exhaust, I'd like to have Borla all the way through. Only way to achieve that now is to buy 60663 and 60607 and throw away the front part of 60607.

Are there any sound clips of this bolted up directly to the NPP muffler?

Looks like the 60663 2nd cat delete pipe set has been discontinued too? It was only out less than a year? WTF? Why kill it?

According to Steve at RDP, it's the cali laws that made them recall everything.

How did I just somehow know that was going to be the reason. Dang it. That’s no fun.

Dang. I almost bought one 2 months ago... but might be moving to a “carb emissions” state later this year due to work... so I didn’t want to spend money to have it installed only to be later removed.
