I have a Pypes system and love it, it is just the sound I wanted. He is right about the tunnel brace but there are some exhaust systems that cost twice the price with that problem. Also some of the pipes were labeled wrong, but that isn't a problem if you just lay it out the way it is supposed to fit. As for the tips being horrible mine aren't, I have no complaints about them.

Has anyone recently installed Doug Thorley shorty headers (Doug Thorley 1-3/4" Shorty Headers #THY-336-C ), thinking about purchasing and installing them on my 2010 SS but would really like some feedback before I invest in them. They claim an increase of atleast 18 RWHP ?????

I just wanted to come back to this thread after almost a year and say that I ended up purchasing a pypes cat back and absolutely love it. The install was easy, instructions were good, quality was excellent and the sound is super deep and throaty. I wouldn't care if it cost as much as the borla I would still pick the the pypes over any of the others I have heard. I get compliments on it all the time.

I've ran the Pypes cat back also. For the money it was pretty good. At first I had some clearance and fitment issues but that was my fault for rushing to get the system in. I went through the system again and made sure the tubing was really up against each other when I tightened the clamps. The fitment was alot better. It definitely makes it easier to have an extra set of hands to hold the tubing in position when tightening the system down. The sounds was great, actually sounded almost stock with a deeper tone while cruising and loud enough when I opened it up. More important was that there was no noticeable drone while cruising. I would definitely buy the Pypes cat back again.

I agree, I have now heard quite a few of the systems, borla, flowmaster, ect and I would still buy the pypes given the choice. Really old school muscle sound. Fit was no issue on mine and I installed it in one night.

I have one for sale if anyone is interested. Im in NY, if you can pick it up. I'd imagine it won't be such a good deal if I've gotta ship it to you. PM me if you're interested.
