I need a 2.5" o.d. to 3" o.d. exhaust adapter!!

I bought the MBRP exhaust tips that match the ground effects kit. The thing is they are for a 3" exhaust system. The clamps on the tips have a 3" inner diameter. My exhaust system(Borla Atak) have a 2.5" outer diameter. I want to use sleeve clamps to hook the adapters up to the exhaust system, which means I need a 2.5" outer diameter to 3" outer diameter adapter. The only adapters I can find are 2.5" i.d to 3" o.d So, is there anywhere I can get these? Do they even exhist?

Any competent muffler shop should be able to expand the 2.5"id to a 2.5"od without any trouble.

It would need to be compressed, not expanded. 2.5 I.d is bigger than 2.5 o.d, but thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it

I think what he is trying to say would be to have the muffler shop expand your Borla catback to fit the 3" tips. They might be able to expand it to just under 3" so that the tips will fit pretty snug. Then you could probably have them welded on.

I would say to find a local muffler shop and see what they could do for you.

Ah. The tips fit the adapter fine. It's between the adapter and the pipe that I'm having a problem. I'm trying to avoid welding and U-clamps. What I want is an adapter with a diameter that matches my pipe so I can put a band clamp over it. Which means the adapter has to have a 3" outer diameter on one end, and a 2.5" outer diameter on the other end, which would match the pipes outer diameter. Thanks for your input
