1:6 scale RC Camaro Help/Info needed

Was lucky to find one of the Hot Rod Magazine/Year 1/Radio Shack '69 Verts at a junk shop, but of course the 27mhz remote & battery charger was missing. The car is in flawless condition, & the battery pack seems to still have a charge... as I can hear the relay (?) clicking when I flip the power switch on, & a red light is flashing on the dash. Unfortunately, the car does NOTHING without the remote transmitter (no exterior lights or interior gauge lights either).

**So my questions are:
#1. Will any aftermarket 27mhz remote connect with this car, or do I need to look for a specific model (or coding info the circuit board?) to determine which multifunction remote will steer the car, operate lights, etc.
#2. Is there a way to at least get the interior/exterior lights to work for my diorama photography... I could honestly care less about driving it.
