It's official I'm boosted- STS Turbo'd!
I just got my car back yesterday and its a blast, just complete night and day difference. The dyno results were 370 rwhp and 330 torque. I am waiting for a boost regulator valve to come in, then the guys said they will have no problem getting the car to 400rwhp. Vince at trifecta said he wasnt comfortable sending the tune with the springs that were on the car so I'm having this done. On next wednesday I will pick up the real deal haha. Tested it out last night, Had a blast, but havent got to really test it out like ive liked because the weather has been pretty bad this week, but it is clearing up this weekend. The sound on this thing is just monsterous and really turns head, sounds like a beast.bWhen I get it next week expect some videos of various things. But in the meantime ask me anything you'd like!

So unfortunately there was a small set back...The night before I took it in I was driving and a warning came up that said "Engine Power Reduced". The car went limp and seemed super weak until I shut it off and then it was fairly normal but still different. This made the tune Vince had given my guys unable to work, because the car was down 30rwhp. So now the car will be fine, but Vince seems to be a pretty busy guy at the moment so just waiting for data logs to go back and forth and try to get it to the 400 mark. They say I should still most likely have my car back by the weekend.

Hey Dobbins what where you doing when you got the Engine power reduced? I used to get engine power reduced with boost over 5 psi when I'm moving over 115mph but it stopped when i increased the exhaust housing ar size on the turbo. I guess the back pressure from running a small turbine housing may have caused reversion? leading to light detonation at high load and high rpm triggering the EPR code (engine power reduced). I never got a permanent CEL but my old spark plugs did show some signs of light detonation. I stepped down to 2 heat ranges colder than stock and bigger more efficient intercooler but still got EPR so figured the cause was from something else which I think was the exhuast housing size since it hasn't come back again. Hopefully yours isnt caused by detonation!!!
