Was switching my auto shifter to a manual boot. Look what I found.

There is a LED bulb that is in the auto shifter bezel that lights up the options.

Its got a long enough wire and RIGHT next to the front of the cup holder. I'm going to drill through it and place the aluminum cup holder on top so it's finally lit!

I always wanted to do this mod, but never wanted to spend the time or money on the LED. This one is factory wired and blue- couldn't ask for it any better !

I took the PRNDM bezel out. It's replaced with a manual boot, so the LED light is not lighting up anything anymore.

Yeah, I'm not sure quite where I'm going to drill or place the light for best illumination. Let me know what you do!

Any pics of the manual boot? Did you have to make on modifications to the boot to make it fit?

Looks better IMO.

Was upgrading to a leather shift knob anyways so figured I'd do both.

It was too dark once I finished. I will take some tomorrow for sure.

No modifications if you go with the OEM boot. You just have to flip it inside out and ziptie the opening to the auto shifter.

The DIC shows the position of the shifter so it's redundant to have an indicator on the console anyway.

Yup. Not sure how safe it is to be looking down at your shift plate while driving/shifting any who...
