Recently purchased a 2014 Camaro SS1

Hey guys i recently purchased a 2014 Camaro SS1. It had some work done to it Which leads me to a couple questions.

Question 1 The car has BBK Long tube headers with high flow cats, BBK cold Air intake, BBK throttle body. Does anyone here have a similar setup and know what the car makes HP/Tq wise?

Question 2 Is there a way to tell if the car has a tune in it? it currently throws a code for air/fuel mixture. I am assuming its because the O2 sensors are extended do to the headers.

Question 3 If it does not have a Tune what is the best tuner for these cars?

Thank you in Advance

Don't have the same set up, but even those that do will not be able to tell you what HP or Torque your car is putting out. You will need to get I dynoed to know for sure.

Question 2 Is there a way to tell if the car has a tune in it? it currently throws a code for air/fuel mixture. I am assuming its because the O2 sensors are extended do to the headers. If it is throwing air/fuel mixture codes odds are no tune has been done or it was done before the mods.

Question 3 If it does not have a Tune what is the best tuner for these cars? Have not had mine tuned (yet), there are a few very reputable ones out there and I'm sure you be getting advice soon as to which other's think are the best.

Thank you in Advance

Welcome and congrats on your new ride! Here's my take on what you have:

Question 1 The car has BBK Long tube headers with high flow cats, BBK cold Air intake, BBK throttle body. Does anyone here have a similar setup and know what the car makes HP/Tq wise?
Not sure what diameter headers they are, but BBK typically makes 1 3/4" and 1 7/8". Based on a similar setup with 1 7/8" headers, I made 365hp/390tq through an automatic. Also, if you have a manual your numbers will be closer to 415-430hp and about the same torque with a tune.

Question 2 Is there a way to tell if the car has a tune in it? it currently throws a code for air/fuel mixture. I am assuming its because the O2 sensors are extended do to the headers.
As stated above, if you have the CEL, chances are you do not have a tune.

Question 3 If it does not have a Tune what is the best tuner for these cars?
A custom dyno tune is the best, but since you're in NJ there's a few good tuners around you. RPM Motorsports and Complete Street Performance are two real well known shops around there, or if you want to take a drive and wait for Jeremy to come back up, he does wonders and comes to Gettysburg from Florida a half dozen times a year. His last trip or next to last trip of the year should be coming up soon.

FYI, BBK throttle bodies are notorious for hanging. If it's working fine now I wouldn't worry too bad about it, but if it starts to give you issues Vmax and Bo White do great work on throttle bodies. Vmax you can order through their webpage, Bo is a member here and you can PM him to get things going. If/when you would decide to change it up.

We have never done the BBK TB so we don't know exactly what the added HP would be but with the headers, high flow cats and intake your most likely around the 410-435 range. Best get it on a DYNO to know for sure.

Question 2 Is there a way to tell if the car has a tune in it? it currently throws a code for air/fuel mixture. If it was already tuned and you didn't do anything after purchase to the car it should not be throwing codes.

Question 3 If it does not have a Tune what is the best tuner for these cars?If your looking for a hand held tuner I would suggest checking out HP tuners line. They are great and the only one we trust for our cars!
If you have any other question and want to pick our brain feel free to call, PM or email us at any time!

HP numbers will also depend on if it is an L99 or LS3 car.

If your BBK headers are 1 3/4" id recommend getting some new 1 7/8" instead

As far as a tune, any good mail order tune found on here will fix your issues for the cheapest possible return on investment.

Hey. Congrats!! I live right up the 18 from you!!! I take my car to complete street performance in PA. Bought my camaro a year ago In freehold and ended up getting it returned immediately cause it had headers and high flow cats and a cold air intake. Car desperately needed the retune and it’s safer and makes more power now.
