Corvette owners trading for a Camaro

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1413007

A conversation I found while absent mindedly browsing the net for vert pictures.

Interesting. I got a "chuckle" from the one comment, "Don't go to the dark side". It's all good. The Vette owners are just as loyal to the Vette as we are to the Camaro.

On a personal note, my brother currently owns a C6. He has mentioned on several occassions of either trading it in on a C6 ZO6, or, the new Camaro. He previously owned a 10th Anniversary Firehawk, which he still misses, and a new Camaro just might be what he's looking for?

Cool

I own a 2006 C6 and I would never trade it in, however I will be getting the 2010 Convertible Camaro when it arrives. The trade in will be my 2002 Mustang Convertible! This Beautiful Beast will then become my daily driver and my Dayton Sunset Metallic Orange Coupe will be my weekend special occasion girl. With my 63 Ford Thunderbird being my throwback, car show summertime floss-mobile!

I own a 2003 Vette and just love it. I plan on getting the Camaro as my DD and keep the Vette as a weekend warrior.
That way I will have the best of both worlds

Believe me that Camaro will not have that much trunk room so you will be using that back seat too. The Vette Coupe actually has a great deal of trunk space without the top back there.

I have always found it amazing how my Corvettes have been able to hold more groceries than most of my f-bodies... lol... you'd think it would be the other way around, but my FRC and '86 coupe both hold more bags of stuff (and hold them accessibly, I might add) than any of my 4th gens and my 3rd gen... but the '67s are a different breed of animal... they both have big trunks and lots of back seat that hold almost ANYTHING well

oh, and I'm getting a 2008 Z06 to go with my '99 FRC and will not be getting another 'vert unless we get a 4th gen 'vert between now and the time the 5th gen comes out... the wife will be getting a black 5th gen and that will be our 5th gen car unless she wants a 'vert in 2012 for the anniversary year... other than that, we're pretty much set until 2016 when we get our obligatory 10 year truck... so far, we have an '86, '96 and '06 GM truck or SUV on truck frame... gotta keep the tradition going, ya know

Corvette people are among the most brand/make loyal as they come. I don't expect a surge of Vette owners selling their Corvettes for Camaros, I do expect quite a few to buy a Camaro as well
