My other question is what is the difference between the Blizzak LM-60 and the Blizzak DM-V1? I know the DM-V1's say their for light trucks and SUVs but would there be any issues running them on a Camaro? Which would be better, of those 2 Blizzaks and the Scorpions? Thanks
You can run the same size front an rear if your thinking 245/45R20. All of the tires you are looking at are good in the snow. The DMV1's will handle like a truck tire however. I would go with the LM60 or Pirelli.

would you recommend sticking with the stock sizes or narrowing the rears?

I would run the 245/45R20 front and rear for better snow/ice performance if you have the OE wheels. Dry handling will be not quite as good, but wide tires are not good for snow. The narrower footprint will slice through the snow.

Winter Wheels recommendation

When I bought my 2011 SS/RS the dealer threw in some snow tires:

Perelli Scorpion Ice & Snow
FRONT
245/45 R20 103V M+S

REAR
275/40 R20 106V M+S

These are what I have...can you guys recommend some "cheap or inexpensive" winter wheels. Don't want them too ugly.

Was considering using the stock wheels for winter and getting new wheels not sure if that's a good idea with the polished alum. in the salt.

Thanks in advance!!

I'm thinking about the 18" KMC Rockstar wheels for snow tires. It's hard to tell (from the photo) if the finish would stand up to the salt and slush. Any comment on the durability of this wheel?

I am ultra broke and cannot afford a new winter set-up

What dimensions are SAFELY flexible?

I understand the safest thing to do is get new + exact dimensions, but a lot of local ppl have only used their winter set up once on various cars and are selling for $200-$700

I learned here that smaller is better, so I am looking out for 17" (RS 2LT 20" currently), but what about bolt pattern- is the 5 x 120 a must? (please excuse my ignorance)

What about the ratio value (45-60? which is possible for camaro+winter)

Thanks!!!

Hi,

Yes the finsh is painted and clearcoated and will last a lifetime if taken care of. I recommend using a good paint sealant a few times a year and keeping them washed frequently.

There are really no cheap 20 inch wheels, but I have some afforable ones you should be able to see them on the site. They start around $200 each. Please feel free to give me a call and I can further assist if needed.

Rudy,

Are the TPMS sensors you sell guaranteed to work with a new 2011 Camaro?
I was reading another thread that said there was a problem between 314.9 MHz and 315 MHz sensors, so I was just wondering which ones you sell? Thanks!

does anyone have a picture of what a 245/45/R20 looks like mounted on the stock Rear RS wheel? I just wanna make sure it doesn't look too stretched out cuz going from a 275 to a 245 is about an inch difference and just have concerns about how odd it's gonna look ( if at all). Thanks
