How much did you pay for your 2SS/RS in NJ? I'm still debating whether or not I should get a 1SS or 2SS. If I go for the 1SS I will add some extra stuff like the gfx. Also, can you get the gfx without being installed?

Yes. They come to your dealer separate from the car. In a cardboard box.

Getting a 1SS and adding options to it is a good idea. I have a 1SS on the way and when it gets here I am having SLP Loudmouth IIs,rally gauges,and a Hurst shifter installed at the dealer before I take delivery. Saving some money on the car compared to the 2SS and putting some of that saved money into the 1SS.

It's all personal preference.

I would not get a 1SS, because I like the leather seats and feel that with the bluetooth, USB port & auxiliary gauges are worth the $3k...but that's just me.

As for pricing you should be able to buy below MSRP.

Build a Camaro the way you want it on chevy.com and search around your zip for dealers with matching vehicles. Contact the dealers and let the negotiations begin!
