Thanks Maryland. I've been driving around for a month without one and am waiting for a 'no plate' ticket to match the speeding ticket I got in week two of owning it. It feels very snug, and should last. I hate the look, but I'd hate the citation even more. Great post!!

My dealer promised when I placed the order that they would simply put the bracket in the trunk. Delivered it and the bracket was on it. Fussed and fussed...finally they said they would swap front ends with another of the same car but one that didn't have the bracket. Did it at their expense. VERY pleased! Just about threw up when I saw that bracket on my baby. A twenty dollar piece of junk, and four holes, in my beautiful new car....but thankfully they want more of my business so they solved the problem.

Since I've got eight kids and the oldest is 17 I've got many years of "kid cars" to cycle through as they beat them to death....that and I tend to change cars regularly :-). But not these three. LOVE them.

Glad they made good on their promise! When I bought my 98 Z28 (factory order) they promised the same thing but then did it anyway. When I complained they gave me this legal crap that they were required by law to install it and there was nothing they could do about it.

When I factory ordered my 2010 2SS from George @ Paul Conte before I even had a chance to request no plate holder, he offered to leave it in the trunk and let me decide if I wanted to install it. Sure enough on delivery day it was in the plastic bag in the trunk, along with every scrap of paperwork from the factory. He installed the rear plate himself and ensured nobody else touched the car but him. I could not have possibly been more happy, except maybe for a tank of 93 instead of 87

The slide under mount kits do not work well on cars with ground effects..plus I didn't want to spend the money and give up ground clearance.

Ticket

Got my ticket this morning from Va State Trooper. Not sure if he was really concerned that I had no front plate or the fact that my back plate was covered with a tinted shield.......
ticket = $30..00
processing fee = $62.00
