The rattle comes from not getting the sound killing gromets reinstalled.. I put an MTI Six Shooter on myself and thought it was horrible until I re adjusted the gromets back under the console correctly... Much better

here's my logic:

hurst shifter kit $320-399
install $70-80
clinking sound priceless

MGW
shift kit $85
install $0
no clinking sound $0

so i have about $300-400 more in my pocket, no clinking noise but can't short shift when i want to track or street race it (which is never).

where have i gone wrong??? oh yea i forgot it's kinky according to some

You haven't. Both are great. I just like Hurst shifter a lot. No argument.
