Lesson Learned
I went to trade in My 2014 LS for a 2007 corvette. I owe 20k on my LS because I've only had it a year and a half. 21k for the vette. So I'm thinking if they give me close to what I owe I'll be driving a vette home. I've added a HUD,ZL1 rockers, fog lights, axle back exhaust, and painted the inside trim to match the red outside. They gave me 17k for my car. Then some guy came and looked at it and said that's the nicest LS I've ever seen but, I have to take off two thousand for the HUD and foglights because those are not "Factory" equipment. Really? I'm 52 and have had Harley's my whole life and know that you get very little if any for the glitter. To take off 2k because of a HUD and foglights is new to me. Just have to keep the six and deal with it. I only have 5900 miles on it

Yeah , those freeloader so called sales people are full of it
I bet that if you go to the lot , I find one car in there that have some extras on it , the dealer will be asking for a little extra for it So , yeah , keep what you have , or try to sell it privately Then go to that dealer and maybe get that Vette for the price that you want , not the price they want to sell it for |

Already trading it after 5900 miles? Your car is practically new.

A 17K offer for an LS w/ 5.6k miles seems alright... like I can see why they wont offer you more, even with your mods.
Those mods dont add any value unfortunately. You got to keep in mind that there are people who get 2LS's for 19k new |

Agree. The V8 is where it's at. But you didn't really f-up. It seems as though you could only afford a V6 so you got a really damn nice V6. Don't try to live above your means. What you should have done is bought a used V8 like I did with only 11,000 miles on a 2011 for $18K less than when it was new. I don't understand why anyone buys a new car. Oh well, more for me. Enjoy your car and do it right next time once you can afford to trade in/up.

Dealers will always say that. Then they turnaround and sell with all the mods. And say the price is a little high because all the modification the car has.

I don't get it.. Sorry a gorgeous Camaro is still a Camaro regardless of power plant .. Be proud.. Not everyone has a 300+ HP car to have a blast in.. It's all he same in he end.

With a new LS going for $21K with the current incentives, there aren't many people who will buy a used one for close to that. The extras mean almost nothing to most and a detriment to some- I know I won't buy a used car that someone added stuff to. I'm too afraid they did a lousy job at it.

+1!!!!
If the car gets you from point A to point B and you feel good while you're driving it, it's an awesome car!
