Onstar Won't Go Away! Spamming my car!

I recently told Onstar to take a hike after months of bad connection in my area. I also figured out that my phone plan with available hotspot will let me run the wifi off my phone during those times when I really need it which isn't often.
Since I turned off my hotspot, I keep getting messages on my infotainment screen to enter my password to continue connected services. The options are to enter the password, remind me later or to STOP REMINDING ME. I always choose the option to stop reminding me but it keeps REMINDING me everytime I park the car ...not only that it sends messages while driving that I am not connected. Is there anyway to stop this madness or is it built into the system?
I am about to pay for wifi again because the messages are too distracting when I drive.

Call OnStar and talk to a customer rep and the messages should stop.

I can't get rid of them either. Changed tires yesterday and they immediately emailed me a warning. I've even called them but to no avail.

My OS is still registered to the original owner. Service guy tried to sign me up when I brought the car in for the first oil change. I shut it down when he left.

Too bad about his not accumulating points toward a free vacation.

On Star is a joke and it sucks. I guess enough people keep paying for it so GM keeps making money off it. I sold my 2021 Tahoe back in February and still get the monthly report.

I change cars frequently and while at the dealer setting everything up, I just tell the On Star rep to skip to the end. And then they push to get a credit card on file for 2 additional free months. Like the new movie, NOPE.

It's actually pretty useful. I was driving in the mountains near my home and a big animal (mountain lion possibly) ran out in front of me, I swerved, and put my ZL1 into the side of a mountain (i know i know i should have just hit it) the car literally barely came to a rest when OnStar representative started talking to me thru my car, asking if everyone was ok and if I needed medical attention. I said I was fine, just a little shaken up, and they were kind enough to call a tow truck for me and find a local dealer to have it delivered to until I was able to contact insurance.

I turned off my hotspot...still kept asking. I turned off Wifi...still kept asking.
I deleted the My Chev App from the infotainment screen....the app went away and came right back without any of my personal info intact.
So I put in my password the next time I was asked, fearing that doing so would result in renewing my Onstar subscription but it did not.
I was thanked for putting my password in and since then, I have not been asked for it again.

I turned mine off the day I bought my car, even before the "free" trial ran out.
I don't need a car talking to me telling me where to turn or not turn.
My car is a 2017, so different from the newer cars as far as on star.

Sounds like I dodged a bullet denying OnStar services at time of purchase. Cancer can't spread if you nip it in the bud!

Over the years since OS has been available I’ve rarely used it and always lets the free version expire, never paid for it. When I was taking delivery of my LT1 in March the salesman took me out to my car for the standard BS, matched my phone then pushed the OS button. The woman at OS would not give up trying to sell me to the point where I told her I was through listening to her pitch and wanted to drive my new car. You could tell she was taken back by it. I also won’t be renewing XM. I’m bluetoothing my iPhone’s music when I feel like it.
