A/C System Leaking/Not Working, what is this port?

2011 v6 LLT, 135k...

I have noticed for a little while this little cap, which looks to run from the radiator to the back/bottom of the engine has been leaking green neon fluid.

Recently taking it out for a drive the AC no longer works at all... blender door opens/closes no issues... fans comes on full blast and both radiator fans come on but the vents only blow warm air when set to AC.

What is this, and why would it possibly be leaking?

As many a/c problems that these cars have and that I've read about on here, apparently these service valves are a huge weak point that leak very often.
Make sure your system is empty then change the valve and recharge the system.

I heard that gm made those service valves an item to replace every year.

That's the high side service port. I see these ports leaking all the time all all makes. They are replaceable. The A/C system has to be evacuated first.

Pretty sure the ball valve versions leak. You can replace them with a Schraeder valve version.
