Vortech

Yesterday at the Hurst/ B&M show the guys from Vortech said that they needed a car for R&D that was built this year. I'm all for it but how can I get my wife to ok the $3,000? It's too good of a deal to pass up, but she said "No way!" before I even finished explaining. What can I do?

I'm more worried about warranty issues myself. This would definitely void the factory warranty..does Vortech offer a warranty of their own for the supercharger?

Yeah waranty would be out the window, not sure if Vortech offers anything, I haven't talked to the guy in depth yet, I wanted to get approval before I went forward with anything.

Vortech offers their own warranty over the pwoertrain so long as you use their stock tune. I believe it's 3/36k as well.

its 3 yrs or 50k miles. ( i think its 50k) forgot. But you do get warranty from Vortech. you just cant get anything else on it. Pretty much the way it went in is how you need to keep it.

Its badass. the sound the power...everything about it. I've still been pounding it like a $5 hooker....

Well best of luck to you. I would have killed for that deal. Hell I would have sold my prelude to get it. At any rate, regarding your wife, I wouldn't jeopardize your marriage over a supercharger, as, in the grand scheme of things, it just isn't worth it, and you still have a 400+hp car.

On the other hand, if you can try and get it, do so. Try and make a deal with her regarding something she's always wanted.

Or start taking donations from Camaro5. Ill pitch in $10 =P

It's a great deal but do YOU feel like YOU have $3,000? Not sure about your relationship, but when my wife says we don't have the money for something, we really do not have it. It's not even a "you spend too much on the car" thing. I mean, if you guys are saving for a home or have a mountain of credit card debt, then that's more important than a supercharger. I think sitting down and going over your finances is a good move.
