Sweet. I may do the RW, because I may become engaged around that time. Sounds like as good of time as any. But if not I'd rather not get a hotel, $150 in gas and I could bring my car and pit bike plus not have to leave the site.

If we don't start getting some good rains right quick the wildflowers will be lackluster come spring. The bluebonnets sprout from seeds in the fall and then hunker down low all winter. It's not until March when they start to really grow and put on their flower spikes.
I'm hoping for some December rains so we can have a decent wildflower show. Your neighborly Master Gardener / TX Native Plant Camaro buddy, Taz.

mmmmm....salt lick!
LOVE that place! Quote:
Salt Lick is really good. It's a drive. Driving is fun. But, I talked to my local BBQ guys and asked if they'd be interested. Why did I talk to them? Because their food is freaking AWESOME!!! Sliders, ribs, turkey...everything. And their prices are more than reasonable. And they have the mobile trailer so they can come out to the event. These guys are good...and you are going to LOVE their food! |

Well, we have some really incredible news to end your weekend with. Being a non-profit organization, the San Antonio Camaro Club is always looking for ways to raise money for a good cause. In the case of the Texas Camaro Revolution, we are proud to announce that all proceeds from the event will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We hope to be able to make a sizable donation, so finding sponsors/vendors and getting lots of participation is a must. This is an extremely special opportunity for us all.
Also, we're getting close to announcing the track location and host hotel. Trust me when I tell you that no one will be disappointed. We might even have a trick or two up our sleeves

Being 6 months into the Camaro world has been somewhat overwhelming. The fest in Indy just wasn't doable last year on short notice. And finding out that the location for the next event is staying the same as last year seems to have polarized a few, including myself.
Stumbling on this event and the close proximity is absolutely amazing. Kudos to all of those involved in the preparations and logistics of pulling this off. We will be there and I want to say thanks. |
