No 1LE at Ft. Lauderdale Auto Show and no 1LE at Barrett Jackson Palm Beach Auction (ZL1 and C7 Vette though; awesome in person!) Took my son there for his 18th birthday. And then this happened...

Here's the setup. Car crazy teenager on vacation in Florida finds a surprise in a Lamborghini Aventador on his 18th birthday. Mom and Dad flew his girlfriend in from NC. The amazing staff at Lamborghini Palm Beach put her in the passenger seat for him to find, then gave him a spirited 20-minute ride. Short video of the surprise.

I don't want to say this kid doesn't deserve this ride..........but give me a break.I didn't even have a car in high school,and drove a moped so i could work.I work my @ss off and always have(just pulled a 17hr day yesterday) for my whole life,(not complaining)and just got my 1st V8,which i love and am so grateful for,and yes this kid will be wadding this thing up.

He did not buy it, just went for a ride, he did not even drive. I think it was pretty cool of dad to fly in the girlfriend and arrange this.

Sorry for any confusion... the birthday present was a trip to the Barrett Jackson Auction Palm Beach. The surprise was flying his girlfriend down to FL from NC for the next week of our vacation.

After we left the auction Sat. we stopped at the Lambo dealer close by where my wife was going to have his girlfriend just sitting in a Gallardo in the showroom (he loves Lambos). So the awesome staff at Lambo Palm Beach suggested that she sit in the Aventadore and they pulled it from the back after my son and my dad and I got there from the auction.

It was so funny to see the confusion on his face as his brain was surely filled with excitement about just sitting in an Aventadore... and then he sees his girlfriend sitting in it... sensory overload... car, girlfriend, car, girlfriend, ahhhhhhh!!!

And then to my surprise they took him for a nearly 20 minute SPIRITED ride for his 18th birthday. Car people are cool, right?
