These "should" not go for as much as they are not Pace Car Replicas and not a Z4Z Pace Car Package. Window stickers I saw did not have any markups from factory for the graphics. Aside from the decals these are just regular white SS's. Nothing special was done to the interior or anywhere else. Does not mean the dealer won't mark them up or command a premium though.. |

I have a feeling you are going to like the pace car (it is just a feeling) A ZL1 'vert makes sense to draw attention to the ZL1 that is out and the 'vert version coming soon. I would think this means no Pace Car edition this year so they can paint the pace car a color that doesn't currently exist in the Camaro world. I hope they don't just do white with blue stripes (or blue with white stripes) for the actual pace car, I'd like it to be a little more exciting!

If you want one talk to an Indianapolis area Chevy dealer. I am sure you could leave a deposit now. Most will be released the week after the race. Some will be given away in contest and others saved for other local events. Brickyard 400, Moto GP and the Fair. ( I could also see one making it to a Colts pre-game! ). Festival cars often have 1000-3000 miles. I have seen them as low as 600 and as high as 4000. Not easy to request a number its just random. Awesome looking cars!

As always those that know aren't suppose to tell until the official unveiling. What they will say and we can repeat is it will definitely be a Camaro or a Corvette and looks like it likely will be unveiled opening day. Was also a short article on Indystar.com about it.
http://www.indystar.com/article/2012...419025#Scene_1 Indianapolis 500 pace car announcement next week Cars that look like the Indianapolis 500’s pace car have been spotted in Indianapolis. But as it turns out, a shipment of decaled 2012 Chevrolet Camaros now in Indianapolis will be used by the 500 Festival committee. Indianapolis Motor Speedway spokesman Doug Boles said the official pace car will be announced next week. “It’s either a Camaro or a Corvette,” he said, declining further comment. The celebrity driver of the official pace car also still is to be announced. Last year, A.J. Foyt drove it after Donald Trump stepped aside amid controvery. The 500 began the tradition of using a pace car to lead the field to the starting line. It has been traditional since 1936 that the race winner receives a pace car. Fleets of Chevrolets will be used by IMS and IndyCar officials as well as celebrities and dignitaries during the month of May. Call Star reporter Curt Cavin at (317) 444-6409. |

This delayed your ZL1 more than these pace cars did. Don't worry it's not true. I am concerned that next year it may be a Viper. |

Just out of curiosity, are the cars used to shuttle the VIP's and other track use sold as New cars or Used cars? And are they sold by the track or a local Chevy dealer?
