This is not the right mentality to have. It's just as bad as the people complaining and threatening to do just that. C5Fest is an event that should try and make everyone happy. That might not be able to happen in a year or 2 but this is a big country and having the event move is good for the simple fact that you're not alienating C5ers every year.

Maybe CFEST being at Indy again is helping them get ahead of the game for future endeavors.... Just a thought.

I would agree, I'll bet since 2013 is booked, they are looking for a possible venue for 2014.

Well, here is my take on Indy. I didn't go this year because it was there. Could have but did not want to put the milage on the car. Next year I will plan on jumping in with a "Camaravan" coming out of Florida or somewhere here in Georgia. Ill sleep in my trunk or what ever but I plan on making it anyway because I really want to experience a C5F. Even though I really dislike Indiana.
Some where in this 18 page thread I saw someone say that this could split the "Fest" some how. You know what, thats actually not a bad idea to some degree. You could have one in the spring and then one in the fall splitting the country in half by east and west or even north and south during the more appropriate times of the year. It could be the "C5 Fall Bash" in Texas some time around Sept/Oct ish, and have the "C5 Spring Sling" up in Kansas some time in April. Topeka, KS has a place called Heartland Park with a 1/4 mile drag strip and a 2.5 road course. Multiple hotels near by and its right off an interstate. I would list places in Texas but there are to many to list and besides they have the "Texas Mile". I do understand why it hasn't been in Texas though. I mean let's face, if C5F ever makes it to Texas it will probably never leave (*Texan). Anyway, just throwing my .02 in since everyone else has. Last edited by naSSty1; 11-28-2012 at 06:10 PM. I would be willing to bet they are looking to get the fest set one to two years out. Having it at Indy again is a smart way to get ahead. Sometimes you have to step back before you can go forward. (Not that Indy is a step back but you get what I mean) As of right now only the Mods see the "Big Picture". |

It's not the location itself that people are upset about; it's the fact that they are holding the event in the same place as last year. imo it screwed out the 99% of the west coast bringing their cars out.

Having the venue less than 2 miles from my home is very convenient, however I miss out on the caravans and such as others participate to get here
There are pros and cons for everyone. Ryan
