So onstar just sent me email...

To renew my contract. Im thinking about getting the safe and sound plan. They are offering me 12.95 a month or 149 for the year and pay up front. Also the navigation plan for 24.95 a month or 249 for the year. So yeah im definitely going with the safe n sound but is it likely that i can lower the price of 12.95 for something lower?

Also I found out that you can pay $9.99 a month and have unlimited calling on the hands free phone vs. buying minutes.

I paid $169 for my Safe and Sound package. When you first got OnStar your car was given a phone number that is on the Blue wallet sized card.

Oh ok, yeah im able to see the phone # through the onstar app, so the phone would still be in the car and will be able to use it by pressing the phone button right and it will be 9.99 a month on top of the price there offering monthly.

Get Safe & Sound, and get a Garmin (or Tom-Tom).

On Star Navigation is not very good, in my opinion.

My dad has tried using the navi on his Trailblazer and been less than thrilled with the outcome. I agree, a seperate unit would be the best option. Could always just replace the radio with a touch screen navi/radio combo.

Received the letter myself threw it out. Last I need is another yearly bill. On phone I use metro. it intigrates seemlessly with the blue tooth for hands free. NAvigation I have a seperate unit (Garmin). Works great.

Yeah mine runs out in a few days. Don't really have a need for any of it's features, and they want too much money. I won't be renewing.
