Some nice sounding mufflers?
anyone planning on changing the mufflers on the V6? I would like to hear a deeper sound, but not exactly loud or "cheap" sounding. The flowmaster 40 sounds nice to me, but i heard people say they are too loud? Any suggestions or mufflers you had experience with? oh, and do all mufflers need to be welded on?

You'll find that the definition of "nice" on here is pretty broad and wide open to interpretation. You'll have to check out some youtube videos and listen to audio of different exhaust setups to figure out what you like best. Trust me, you'll get a LOT of different opinions on this subject...

I'm going with Flowmaster HP-2 (Hushpower series) on my 1LT. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23862
I'm trying to set aside enough extra money so that I can do this in the first month or so after getting my car. Besides tinting the windows, this mod is at the top of my list.

wouldn't two flowmasters cost about $200 vs the $1,000 for the GMPP kit?

oh, im sorry i didnt see that thread, but yeah that avenger sounds great. Anyone have experience with borla mufflers? they sound good from the videos.
