Seems fishy, need to dig deeper. There has to be something wrong (major accident, title brand), as Z/28's are still priced mid $40's

What's better about the Z/28's over the ZL1? I know they have 7.0's but what else is special about them? Can't the ZL1 beat the Z?

I saw a few 2016-17 SS's at the Chev dealer yesterday when I was picking up a part. Honestly, they do nothing for me. I personally like the 14-15's the most. 13's are good also, but I don't like the mail slot and I like the sleek nose of the 14-15's.

ZL1 can do a little of everything; drag/track/DD With the Z/28 many comforts are optional (air conditioning, a stereo with more than one speaker, etc). Less sound deadening material, thinner glass in the name of saving weight. Where the ZL1 is a loaded and then actually added weight because of the heavy duty drivetrain (i.e. 9.9" cast iron diff).

Smokin15 has hp that would put a smile on my face too. The stock Z28 doesn't have more hp to weight than a stock 6th gen SS. It's a cool car no doubt but I'd be hard pressed to choose between a stock Z28 and a bolt on's 6th SS or SS 1LE. Sport touring or tracking the car? Get the one that suits your style. edit: http://gmauthority.com/blog/2016/09/...n-a-z28-video/ Last edited by silversleeper; 04-07-2018 at 02:06 PM. |

My granddaughter and her boyfriend flew into Florida today, weeks vacation. Their rental car is a 2118 Camaro convertible, about the same color as my Ashen gray metallic 2014. They quickly found out large suitcases can be challenging to say the least! I told them driving one is like driving a submarine, you have to be extremely careful, take the insurance! They ended up paying $260.00 for the weeks vacation. Waiting for feedback.

I wasn't even looking at Camaros so I haven't driven a 6th gen but I have driven the '18 Mustang. '13 ZL1 feels much more like a race car with amenities. That's driving normally, it hasn't been out of touring mode yet. At 3k miles it's practically new (unless their all track miles) and mechanically it's a lot more car for considerably less money. I'm really happy with it.
For perspective, I'm not "experienced". Switching from 2 wheels to 4. |
