How well is everyones Zs handling there mods
It’s been about 3 months since I've had my ZL1, and I'm ready to start modifying my car. Since most Zs on these forums are modified I figured what better place to ask how the mods are holding up, and if anyone has had any issues with mods or anything along those lines. I'm really not worried about losing my warranty, these Z's seem to be able to handle a lot of mods on the stock drive train.
As far as driving goes I'm going to put around 4,000 miles on my car this year. Not sure how many miles people are driving with these mods. I already installed a roto-fab intake, my next plan is to get the 75rwhp tune edition package. My goal is to eventually reach around 700-800rwhp, so any suggestions would be great.

2-1/2yrs and still going just as strong as the day I picked up. Have gone through plenty of tires hehe. Surprised the stock clutch is still getting it done also!

I am not yet into a full year into my mods, but I couldn't be happier. I think the cam really makes the car feel like a muscle car. The looks and thumbs up when you are just idling is Priceless.

Great car, handles mods well with a strong drivetrain from the factory. Put twin turbos on in April but have only driven it 300 miles since then.

2 years since all the normal Z mods plus big cam and I'm 100%. Have a set of tires for Road Track and and one for Drag Strip and still on the stock clutch as well.
Could not be happier. |

Every engine has it's limits of course, but depending on how extreme you go, it's all in the tune brother! Make sure you have someone that knows what they are doing. A bad tune can send a whole lot of money down the drain quickly!!

I have been in the business of modifying cars and trucks for 29 years the Gen5 Platform is by far the best we have ever had to work with.
Ease of service, Ease of mods, Aftermarket support, Room to grow, Reliability at insane power levels. etc etc. The ZL-1 Took it to the next level. Ted.

12 ZL1 here, started modding right after break in and now have about 21,000 mi.
on it. I am right at 600 rwhp and take it to the strip regularly, and haven't had one issue. Very pleased with it. JRE parts and tuning. |
