The only thing accomplished by removing the images is showing support for GM and their decision on how to handle the situation. Other than that we gain nothing, and nor does GM. It would simply be a show of respect to GM. Not that this is a bad thing. But, this site has established itself as a place to find current data. That's what brings people here. I think the fact that we are even discussing this shows, once again, that we are mature and thoughtful enthusiasts. All with good intentions and loyal to GM. I think this thread does more to illustrate our feelings than removing the old one...

^^ I agree, to take the pics down would be like cupping a candle who's flame has already been put out. Pointless.

Yup, like the old saying, closing the barn door after the horse has already got out.

Unless it gets the guy his job back just leave it up. Cats out of the bag now anyway so taking them off the site will not really mean anything, just smoke and mirrors. You know, all touchy feeely stuff.

Like pulling the mask off the Lone Ranger?
orrrr ...The cat's outta the bag, no use sewing the bag up n throwing it in the creek now. (not that I would ever condone such behavior)

Ahhh the mighty spot-welded unibody. Robots have been building cars this way for years... nothing too secretive in those photos. BUT, I'd have gotten rid of him if revealed the engines. ~that would have been next...

If you have read it then you have already done the damage you speak of. Since we are on the subject of damage what exactly are you saying has been done to them(GM)? I imagine this was good for them. If anything I feel bad for the person fired.

Has GM asked for this to be removed?

That is the best point I've heard yet, and it makes great sence, esp the bold part.

Seriously...

They are all over cyberspace by now, they would be back here in a week.

They are also on CamaroZ28.com and Jason and Chris over there would definetley not take em down.

This is kind of a pointless thread.

voted "not sure"

I like the idea of just taking down the pics and leaving the rest.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but don't assume it's everyone elses.
