Sounds right to me. O_O? were 2010 Camaros made by old GM or new GM? This should be our concern.

Not scared at all... there won't be another bankruptcy for some time... and if there is, my car will likely be out of warranty

If the defect doesn't rise to the level of a recall, manufacturers often will do a Goodwill repair but don't advertise it. Sounds like they goodwilled the police models, but don't want to do the entire fleet. As others have said, maybe legally correct but indefensible on the PR side.

I was going to post that article last night, but I figured someone else probably already did. I think that its a big pile of BS, and had I known this is the way they wanna operate, I might have thought twice about doing business with them.

Shameful that companies operate like this, but they will do anything to save $$$$$. Just the same as we(tax payers) gave Government Motors billions to stay in business, did the prices of their cars come down, nope. The actually went up.

Coal mines used to do this back in the day, close their doors on Friday and open as a new company on Monday with whole new crews screwing all the old workers out of pensions and anything else they had with the "old" company.

Ain't right!!

We can give billions to other country's with nothing inreturn. But we help are own companies to rebuild and people are asholes over it. I don't getit never did never will. What's done is done lets move on. I don't agree with this practice gm had to do something. In the end it's still a gm and kinda odd that such a big recall and I never heard anything about it.
