2SS Camaro VS Grand National with 22lb of boost - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Buddy at work just took me for a ride in his GN. I never thought that car could pull like that we where going 25mph and he stomps it and leaves two black strips like it was nothing.
Than we slowed down to about 15mph and than laid a 200 foot black strip on the road. that car pulled like crazy turned around on the road just gave it a little gas and the tail broke loose again.

I know the camaro is going to be slower than a ported polished GN with 22lb of boost but how does the SS stack up with a stock GN?

GN are such nasty cars. It's the ultimate comeback to "domestics and turbos shouldn't mix".

I have no idea what turbo was in that car.
I forgot to ask and he took the day off today so i'll have to wait until monday to ask.
That cars get up and go blew my mind. it isn't a looker but man it has go.

At 22 psi, I think that GN would walk on a stock SS but OEM to OEM I think the SS will stay ahead. It'll be almost a driver's race, I think.

Pretty sure it was the LT1 powered Impala SS.

Actually, it was originally used for the Grand National and then later for the Impala SS

I have NEVER seen a stock GN. . . keep that in mind when you pull up next to one.
