Camaro or Corvette, which is better?

Pfadt customers typically fall into two categories: Corvette or Camaro enthusiast. We know what they are both capable of....but which one would win in a race? Which one looks better? Which one is a real muscle car? Which one would win a a Tug-O-War?

Click on the your favorite car above and "Like" your choice to show your support.

Lets get Camaro5 members on board to show Camaro owners they do NOT run the streets!

Corvette wins all but depending on tires the camaro with the added weight I would think would win the tug of war.

The vette wins in everything except the muscle car thing, I think the vette is a sports car... the camaro a little more of a muscle car. Right now I like the camaros fresh look too but the vette is still super sexy! I could have got a vette but I choose the camaro! Call me crazy but the camaro just really did it for me, the look and interior in my 2ss is plain awesome and the camaro just looks mean! The vette is a BETTER car but I was still sold on the camaro, I think the 5th gen camaro is special in its own way

Corvette hands down. Not only is it alot faster but it's just one of the most beautiful cars on the road. Don't get me wrong, I love my Camaro V6 but compared to a Corvette it's nothing all that special. A Camaro SS does not compare to a Corvette C6. You know the old saying about Camaros ''A Poor Man's Corvette''

I agree, I didnt have Z06 money unless it was a used 02 or something! I feel the camaro was still the winner over the base vette though. The Z06 is big on my wish list, that car is so sick. The guy down the street from me has a nice one with exhaust on it

in a tug-of-war.... I think the camaro has a bit of weight advantage, being a little heavier will help with traction. Of course it all depends on the tires. I think in order to make the comparison the same both cars should be running the same size & type of tire.

Also the driver would have alot to play into it.

If I was driving, when the whistle blows to start I would just sit on the brakes hard and not move. Let the vette start spinning hard and liquified and slippery. Then just ease out on the clutch and pull him while he is spinning....Of course that would be if they were on street tires.

The Corvette wins in a race, hands down. Comparing the looks of the two is different, since they are two different types of cars, and can at times, appeal to two separate audiences. The Camaro is more of a muscle car. The Corvette is far more of a sports car. One is sleek and smooth and screams, "I'm bred as a race car!", and the other is boxy, bulky, and looks mean. It also screams, "Get the **** out of my way!". So by far, the Camaro wins the muscle car question. But aesthetically, they're both pleasing. They're just a bit different.

Tug-o-War? If we're talking LS3 to LS3...I give it to the Camaro. It weighs more and has a better base I would hope.

The Corvette is designed to be the better performer. Styling and function give the Camaro a perceived advantage at least until the next generation Corvette comes out. I think this board will agree, however, that the Camaro is the better car for all of the things we expect of one.

I can afford either one, have owned both and love both. I currently own 2 camaros, I drive one and the wife drives the other but I'm still often tempted by corvettes, they're just awesome cars. Still might have to part with my 02 firehawk so I'll have room in the garage for a new grand sport corvette. GS Corvette + supercharger = cant afford a ZR1. Performance wise I give all to the vet except tug of war, wait counts for alot in that.

Grew up loving Camaros (drove a 73 Camaro as a teenager), and I'm still a Camaro guy.

I've never wanted a Vette. I know the Vette out performs the Camaro, but there's just something about the Camaro I like more.
