I bought a low mile 2015 LFX dressed for $1300 from Craig's list. I'm sure a long block at a local junkyard would be less.

Today I went in and found that they are working on my car already and that warranty will cover it. Estimated time was Tuesday or Wednesday to go pick it up.

I would get a low mileage engine from LKQ, they warranty their engines and transmissions and you can even buy extended warranties if the mileage is low enough.
