I was having this discussion with a buddy the other day. So glad they got rid of the square wheel wells. We both agreed it was great to finally ditch those, but also both agreed that they butchered the front end

So no change for the 5.3 but the 6.2 gained 5hp and lost 10 lb ft?

Chevy told us they would not reveal the numbers so early, and if those are true, that is a massive disappointment. The new Ram is amazing, and we all know the Ford is good. Chevy better step up with some serious numbers.

I believe these are just place holder numbers, GM will edit these when the time is near.

It's possible.

At the same time, it wouldn't be the first time the power outputs haven't improved much over the prior gen, but the new model is significantly lighter or improved in some way to where it almost doesn't matter, the vehicle still performs better based off those other merits.

Are they dropping the V6 from the Silverado/Sierra? I haven't heard anything about the 4.3L (or anything else).

Last I heard in the distant future it was supposed to get boost and be their top tow pig

Let's hope there are no huge quality issues this time. Like the Chevy shake or the roof welds breaking on the early SUVs.
