New 2013 Mustang Design to be unveiled at LA Auto Show.

Well according to the Mustang enthusiasts comments I have been reading Ford is going to re-do the Mustang design again one last time before the total new Generation Mustang. The 2013 version will have the grill from the current Shelby GT500's and also they are saying that the back tail lights will be more straight and different than the current ones that most people hate about the 2010 & 2011 versions. They are saying it will first be unveiled at the LA Auto Show so I wonder how this will effect Camaro sales for next year if at all? I will admit that the Shelby grill does look alot better and more agressive than the current one and any change in the tail lights cant be bad.

The Shelby front end is aggressive looking, I agree. I don't know if this will make much difference in the sales wars, but it couldn't hurt. The earlier Mustang rear was much better, IMO. I don't care for the change they made and I would like to see it more like the '05 model.

I like both Mustangs and Camaros, and I really like the Challenger, too. It's good to see them all being reborn, and seeing this new era of performance reminiscent of the late 60's.

I thought the 5th gen was due for a slight refresh in '13 before the 6th gen hits. From what I've heard the interior will be slightly updated again next year too.

Here's what it will look like:

This is unlikely to be the new "Mustang GT" however, it is likely to be either the new Shelby GT500 or the Boss 302. They are not going to put hood vents on a regular GT. I would put my money on this being the new 302, as the lower grille is similar in size to the 302 lower grille and I don't imagine they would put a smaller grille on the "king of the hill" GT500.
