I was wondering if there are any forum members who have received their cars already and live in the GTA or northern Ontario.

Question - I have tracked my car on the database tracker - excellent tool by the way - anyhow, my car was ready on April 10th - about 2 weeks prior my dealer said it was scheduled to be shipped on the 2nd to 3rd week of April (last or this) - which was fantastic news - however I spoke to him today and he told me that the his dealer rep had said there were "minor" issues with the cars and that they are performing minor "tweeks" or "recalls" to about 140 cars and said that it will not ship for another 3 weeks or so - has anyone heard of this?? Is there any truth to this?

Our dealer is as honest as the day is long - been used by our family business for over 30 years

More like 1400 cars. The early cars needed their BCM to be reflashed due to an issue they found in the CTF fleet with the window indexing. Shouldn't be much longer now.

but why such a wait - couldn't it be done at the dealership?

Possibly. Don't think they want to have to do that though. I think it would have other ramifications (service bulletin, "recall", etc). And I'm sure a few dealerships would forget.

Nope. Still at 1100 AFAIK... but dreaming that somehow my dealer, the GM service rep. and the database tracker has missed it and it's really on it's way.

I was told mine also had a quality issue with the rear tail lights and it should ship this week!!!!!!!

Hey Juicy SS, what is your vin #, interesting, first I have heard of tail light issues.

Mine was the week before last (April 27), and my rep at the dealer tells me that it will go through quality control, and that I'll get a call from him when it gets to the dealership. Apparently there are no status updates for him in between.

[shrugs]

I've been patient this long. I don't mind waiting another couple of weeks.

I dropped by my dealer this morning at 7:00 and my car was on the back of a hauler.
Met the driver, unloaded the car.
On my way to the bank this morning to get the certified cheque, and hopefully I will be driving it today!!!

Maybe a rework on battery cables or Powersteering fixes - the sea of cars at Oshawa is getting smaller - all takes time - hopefully not lost in the pack!!
