Cracked windshield

Riding down i20 a rock hit my camaro and cracked the windshield. I got a quote for a replacement windshield from Delta Auto Glass here in houston for 180 total including moldings and installation. This sounds a bit cheap? What do you guys think?

i'm not familiar with windshields. what would be the difference between an oem and any other . They are both just glass.

If you don't have HUD you should be OK. But I do agree you get what you pay for.

All the above is true. What you gotta' ask yourself is whether you are ready to put up with the delays and appointment jive at the dealership. Windshield replacement dudes are willin' to come to where you work even, and they get it all done then and there, no muss, no fuss. I had a couple of windshields done that way for my Chevy S10 and Toyota truck. I've got no complaints.

Yea, the main reason I'm going this route is because I want it done ASAP and the guys are coming to my house to do the replacement first thing tomorrow morning.

180 sounds great to me... I have put 20,000 on my car and the windo looks sand blasted... there is a small chip that has not turned into a crack yet. they wanted 40 to fix the chip, If its only 180 for a new windo I think I will just go that way..

2 types of windshield

I had mine replaced last august. The dealer took some 2 months before finding the right windshield since the early model have a different remote electronic box at the right of the mirror. Early 2010 models the box is upward while later boxes are horizontal. Also the connections are different. My dealer could'nt find an early windshield and had to splice the connections to fit later models, so take a look at the box if it's upward than the new windshiled with horizontal box will need to be spliced also.

Do you mean for the remote start? If so, I have a 2010 Lt so it isn't equipped with remote start

Yep that is what I meant. I did see that you did'nt have a remote.
Still it's better to get a EOZM windshield, you car is only 2 years old.
