Awesome write-up! Makes me excited for my CAI.

Not sure I will do the scoop but looking at the CAI brand.

The CAI alone is good but you will get more with the scoop.

Wish I had your ability for the written word. My ADHD usually doesn't allow me to read such a long post. Yours was interesting enough to keep it at bay.

Anyone have any dyno information regarding this change with a CAI and scoop.

Oh and one other question. Does the scoop open up the mail slot?

On a dyno the CAI will so around 15rwhp and with the scoop will add another 5-7 rwhp. Keep in mind, this is on a dyno with little air flow over the car so you are not seeing the real world results that you have with the car moving forward forcing air into the scoop.

The scoop is located on the right side of the lower grill next to the driver side DRL.

That was a really wonderful story. Too bad you didn't help your new friend so that you could have learned from the project.

I've never seen the Apex Intake Scoop. Can you please post a pic of it installed? Thanks!

This is it outside the car.

It draws air from the lower front grill next to the driver side DRL. It is almost invisible once installed.
