It is tempered glass, as on the Corvette ZR1
A matter of taste, but I like it JB'sZL1

I was less concerned about it melting, and more about extracting heat from the blower and engine bay. What kind of hex is installed?

The callaway looks like still in show condition.
Ohhhh that shiney blower

I think if I were Native American I'd be called Big Crow because of my affinity for shiney objects on cars
Now I'm needing to polish my blower lid and wheels or chrome them

e85 helps make it cheaper but worse mpg, either way it's not cheap. I have SS mpg envy.

Hex, do you mean what kind of compressor is fitted?
In that case, it's an Eaton TVS supercharger

+1 on not dailying a ZL1. Your wallet will hurt from filling the gas tank so frequently if driving longer distances. Been there, done that.

One method besides not turning too cold is to put the temperature on medium and unplug the blend door after turning the adjustment to middle heat position, so it will work with AC- with bypass cutting flow to heater core/off; or with heat in the winter with bypass pulled to allow flow.

Ended up with a 2013 ZL1 convertible with automatic transmission.
Black on Black with 6500 mil. Can't wait to drive it. Really looking forward to this.

There will be new rims from Factory Reproduction in glossy black FR41,
Roto Fab intake, new Insulator, Vitesse Paddle shifters, Vitesse Throttle Controller +++

And a light hand on the Heat ac blend door
