Thumbs up Custom Magnaflow Exhaust

thank you scrming and mikevrod for inspiring me with your custom exhaust.

When down to my local performance exhaust shop today.
installed a new set of Magnaflows with 4" tips.

I was blown away by the sound of my new custom exhaust.
heart pumping deep low tones, pure muscular sound.

my local shop (http://www.muffler-tech.com) did a remarkable job putting them all together.

here are some pics and videos.

Would you mind telling me how much $$ for the kit? Or is it just mufflers and the rest custom-fabbed? I already have muffler delete but I'll bet those Magnaflows sound deeper. Does it cackle at all when you let off the gas?

Thanks

thanks Scrming ! I love my car and I love my camera, my life depends on it.

the 2 videos are also taken with the 5D mkII. Hope I'll be able to shoot a neighbourhood drive-by video like that one you did a while ago.

btw, what did you use to mount your video cam in the cabin ?

Sounds really good.

A friend of mine has a magnaflow catback on his grand prix gt. His doesn't sound nearly as good as yours (then again, its not nearly as good an engine).

I have the absolute identical setup on mine, completed about 6 weeks ago. Total cost for me was $440 incl tax and fab work. Btw I'm located in the pacific northwest for cost comparison purposes.

Awesome pics.... Glad to see someone using a real camera for a change. I have the same one, I find using an external MIC is the only way to fly when shooting videos with it. I use a JVC shoe mount stereo and seems to work real well with it.

BTW... What lenses are you using, if you don't mind me asking .... I have 3 L series running with mine... 24-105, 70-200, 100-400 ..... Dang lenses cost more than the camera does...LOL...

Lenses are an investment... bodies come and go but a good lens will stick around for a very long time! I actually had the same 3 Ls as you (my 70-200 is the F4 IS version). I sold the 100-400... just wasn't using it enough... What I do now for the once or twice a year I need it I rent the Canon 300mm F4L IS.... very reasonable rental! BTW, shoot a 50D and 5D...

Coupled with my 50D:

Do love the 24-105 too! LOL!

I've been having so much fun with my Camaro I've hardly had time to grad my photo gear out!

ok... sorry to hi-jack... just get so excited talking Canon! LOL!

My 70- 200 is the 2.8 , after the first $1200 what's another 300 for a faster model .... And the plus side of the 2.8 it turns on all the focus points on the Mark II anything slower than 2.8 only give you 9 points. I also use the 2x converter with the 100-400 and can get way out there with it. I used it on a trip to Alaska and the shots on Mt. Denali are crazy good ... They weren't with the Mark II though, just got that last January .... ( Had to wait for that forever also )
