Opinon on Tire Replacements
It's time to take off the winter tires and rims and put the summer tires and rims on my 2011 LT2/RS Synergy Green Camaro. The factory Perilli P-Zeros need to be replaced (~25k). I am looking at the General G-Max AS-03's or the Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires. Anyone have thoughts on which would be better?
Thanks, Clarence |

Last December I bought the Generals and so far I like them. They handle well and the tread design looks cool, too. I don't think they are any louder than the Pirellis but I have heard as they wear down they get louder. They ride nice and handle well. I'm not carving any corners but I also don't feel as if they are loosing grip if I take a turn a bit fast.

I really like my Generals for daily driving. I might have to look at something with a bit more stick for the track soon though.

Another GMax owner here with positive results. I don't push my convertible terribly hard so a 480 tread wear tire like the Generals makes good sense, especially if you're going to take any highway trips. They do not fling debris like the stickier Pirellis and they are easier to break loose, which is fun AFAIC.
Note that their 40,000 mile warranty is cut in half for asymmetrical setups as on the stock SS.

Cooper Zeon have exceeded my expectations. Big improvement over stock Pirellis, imo.

Not to intrude but anyone know the Goodyear or Michelin "equivalent" to the PZeros?

Leaning to the Cooper Zeon RS3-S because they are asymmetric tires versus the G-MAX tires which are rotational. They asymmetric design will allow me to at least be able to rotate tires from side to side (cross) rotation.

I've had two sets of generals, the first set I got 39,000 miles out of them. I've got about 20,000 miles on this set. I love them, they aren't loud, and they give you a good amount of grip for all seasons.
